Today I'm going to recommend one of my favorite anime, Steins;Gate.
The short explanation of this anime is that it uses a time machine of sorts to move through world lines and open up the peaceful future.
There are two things that I think make this anime great.
First, it's based on real-world time machine theory.
The theories of time machines and world lines in this anime are based on the theories of a self-proclaimed time traveler who appeared online in the United States in 2000 named John Titor, and the theoretical aspects of time machines are explained in more detail than other works relating to time machine.

The second is elaborate foreshadowing collection.
The anime begins with the protagonists accidentally creating a device that allows them to send mail into the past and the world line shifts, but then something inexplicable happens, like things that someone supposed to be dead but are still alive, or things that should have happened, but didn't. These mysteries will be revealed as we closer to the final episode.

I think that everyone majoring in science especially can enjoy this anime. At the beginning, the character of the main character may be a bit annoying, but you will get used to it....
I didn't know the anime, but that sounds interesting! Especially, I'm curious about those mysterious incidents. I would like to watch it someday.
